Healthy Lifestyle Symposium focused on wellness options
For the fifth year in a row, 24alife sponsored the International Healthy Lifestyle Symposium in Ljubljana, Slovenia to promote its healthier and happier global initiative.
The symposium, entitled One Size Fits No One: A Program to Reach the Most, was held on April 10-11, 2017 at the Austria Trend Hotel in Ljubljana.
More than 200 attendees and speakers gathered to share, discuss and devise new ideas and methods to implement healthy lifestyle changes, both in the workplace and at home. In addition, the sixth symposium focused on how to educate the masses and empower as many individuals as possible on their journey to well-balanced living.
Dr. Kerry Olsen from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA was one of many key speakers to share health and wellness insight, as Dr. Olsen's 12 Habits of Highly Healthy People is a well-being program used in Mayo Clinic's very own employee wellness program. Dr. Olsen said the sixth annual event provided numerous benefits to all participants.
"[The symposium] will focus on understanding the necessity of offering multiple wellness options in order to positively affect behavioral change," Dr. Olsen said before the symposium. "Truly, one size fits no one. I am looking forward to learning from others. As an attendee, we all want to discover the areas of focus and best combination of programs and activities that will improve the health of employee groups, populations, and ourselves."
