Lecture 1: One Size Fits No One - A Corporate and Personal Wellness Reality
Trying to maximize the benefits of wellness programs by finding the optimal approach to healthy living remains a great enigma. The complexity of improving health through sustainable behavior change can be daunting. This presentation will explore the following questions- Do we know what is most important to achieve wellness? What is wellness? How long do we have to follow people to decide if we can declare success or failure. And finally, are we asking the right questions? The answer to these and the theme of the conference may be that corporate and personal wellness will only be achieved through multiple approaches, a variety of programs, constant change and innovation, rewards and benefits, and finally by courage and perseverance.
Lecture 2: 12 Habits of Highly Healthy People
This presentation will focus on how the 12 Habits program was developed. This was a search to find the those activities that if adopted have the best chance of one becoming 'highly healthy'. Current Wellness programs emphasize exercise, food, and stress reduction, but after exploring the 12 Habits you may find that other factors should have equal importance forbtrue wellness at home and at work. This is another example of why one size fits no one. The 12 Habits of Highly Healthy People program offers a new look at corporate and personal wellness and can benefit everyone. This versatile program is best used to augment existing activities. The simplicity yet power of this program can change the culture of health in an organization and show that management cares about the health of its employees or members.
